A flash bracket is simply a bracket that attaches to your camera, usually by the tripod socket, and holds a flash.Brackets are necessary on cameras that do not have a hot shoe, but are also advantageous if you wish to get the flash further away from the camera lens. I will explain why you may want to do this.When using a flash on a bracket, it is necessary to use a sync cord to attach the camera to the flash. The simplest of these cords attach to the camera and the flash through a single connection.
